Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established restaurant chain that has been delighting seafood lovers for over fifty years. Originating from a single family-owned restaurant with a vision to offer something special—a connection to seafood and the coast—the company has grown into a family of more than 500 restaurants. Each location carries forward the founding passion by providing guests with their favorite meals and creating memorable moments. Red Lobster takes pride in being more than just a place to eat and work; it is an integral part of the communities it serves. The environment encourages new friendships that quickly become familiar connections, reflecting a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for both guests and team members.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you play a vital role in maintaining excellent guest experiences by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient dining area. This role involves preparing the station for shifts, greeting customers with a friendly smile, and assisting the waitstaff to deliver exceptional service. Your duties include replenishing drinks, clearing used dishes and glassware, delivering hot food to tables promptly, and ensuring tables are neatly reset and sanitized after guests leave. You also communicate table availability to the hosting staff and help manage the dishwashing area by sorting items. The position requires a combination of teamwork, attention to detail, and the physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift items safely.
Red Lobster offers competitive weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and a range of benefits designed to support employees’ health and well-being. These include affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at under $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, employees become eligible for a 401(k) savings plan with company contributions, anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. The company is committed to training and career development, providing opportunities for advancement to encourage team members to grow within the organization.
The company culture is built on respect, diversity, and inclusion, striving to create a welcoming workplace for all. Red Lobster takes equal employment opportunities seriously and provides reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The physical demands of the job require the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and stand for an entire shift ranging from 8 to 12 hours. This demanding but rewarding role is perfect for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced team environment and want to be part of a thriving restaurant family. There has never been a better time to join Red Lobster’s team and contribute to the exciting plans ahead for this iconic brand.
