Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history, known for providing guests with a unique connection to the coast and seafood. With a network of more than 500 locations, Red Lobster takes pride in offering a warm and welcoming dining experience where every seat is more than just a place to eat - it's a seat at a table filled with passion and tradition. The company emphasizes its integral role within the communities it serves, transforming new customers into familiar faces and creating moments that extend beyond meals. The restaurants are founded on traditions of quality, teamwork, and care, making them a favored destination for special occasions and everyday enjoyment alike.

As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will play a vital role in ensuring guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience. This is a position that involves maintaining the cleanliness and preparedness of the dining area, assisting servers with various tasks, and delivering food promptly to guests to enhance overall satisfaction. The role demands a friendly and enthusiastic attitude as you greet every customer with a smile and assist in creating a positive atmosphere throughout the restaurant. You will be responsible for setting up and managing your section, keeping tables stocked with necessary items such as utensils and condiments, refilling drinks, clearing dishes and glassware, and accurately communicating table availability to the team. Safety and sanitation are priorities in this role, especially adherence to food safety standards and cleanliness protocols.

The Busser/Runner position requires both physical stamina and a team-oriented mindset. You must be able to stand for long periods, safely lift up to 30 pounds, and perform bending, reaching, and squatting with ease during your shifts. Attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and cooperation with servers and kitchen staff contribute significantly to the efficient functioning of the restaurant and a seamless guest experience. Red Lobster offers flexible schedules and emphasizes career growth, providing extensive training and opportunities for advancement to help employees build long-term careers within the company.

Employees benefit from competitive weekly pay, flexible working hours, and access to affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance – starting at less than ten dollars per week. Other perks include short-term disability insurance, life insurance, voluntary benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match after one year, anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount on dining as a guest. Red Lobster is committed to inclusivity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to fostering a welcoming and supportive workplace environment for all team members regardless of age, race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.

With exciting plans for future growth, Red Lobster is continually enhancing its restaurants and team environment. This makes it an ideal place for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the hospitality industry, offering both rewarding work and the chance to be part of a well-respected brand with a strong community presence. The hourly pay range for this role is from $15.00 to $25.00 per hour, reflecting the company's commitment to offering competitive compensation linked to performance and experience.
