Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain with a legacy of over fifty years, dedicated to offering guests an exceptional dining experience centered around quality seafood and coastal hospitality. As a leader in the casual dining industry, Red Lobster has grown to operate over 500 restaurants, each embodying the founding vision of connecting guests with the flavors of the sea and creating memorable moments. This company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat; it is a vibrant community hub where guests become friends and staff find opportunities for growth and fulfillment. The company places a strong emphasis on its supportive work environment, offering competitive wages including weekly pay, flexible scheduling options, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision plans starting at less than 10 dollars per week. Employees also enjoy life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match eligibility after one year of service. Anniversary pay and employee discounts on meals further add to the rewarding work culture.

The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is a vital position focused on enhancing the overall guest experience through efficient service and careful attention to detail. This role requires individuals who are energetic, team-oriented, and eager to ensure that every guest is welcomed warmly and their dining environment is consistently kept clean and well-stocked. Busser/Runners set up their stations for each shift by ensuring that tables have the necessary silverware and condiments, refill beverages, pre-bus tables by clearing away empty plates and utensils, and promptly run hot food orders from the kitchen to guests. This position supports servers by attending to guest needs quickly and maintaining hygiene standards aligned with food safety regulations. The role also involves cleaning and resetting tables between guests, communicating with front-of-house and kitchen staff about table readiness, and participating in the breakdown of dish areas after service.

Physically, the role demands stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as bending, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for extended periods during shifts that typically last from 8 to 12 hours. Red Lobster values team players who pay close attention to detail and can thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking effectively. This position provides a meaningful entry point into the restaurant industry with opportunities for career advancement fueled by the company’s commitment to training and professional development. By joining the Red Lobster family as a Busser/Runner, employees partake in a future filled with exciting growth and the chance to contribute to a brand that is deeply embedded within the communities it serves. Red Lobster is also proudly an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive work culture free from discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status, thus ensuring that every team member is valued and respected.
