Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established restaurant chain that began as a family-owned establishment with a vision to provide a special connection to seafood and coastal dining experiences. With over fifty years of history and more than 500 restaurants worldwide, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved dining destination for families and seafood lovers alike. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat or work; it is an integral part of the communities it serves. At Red Lobster, the goal is to create memorable moments through a heartfelt passion for great food and meaningful hospitality. Each seat in the restaurant is a gateway to enjoying favorite meals and special times shared with friends and family.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation and enjoyable atmosphere of the restaurant. This position is ideal for individuals seeking flexible scheduling alongside competitive weekly pay. The role includes various responsibilities such as greeting customers warmly, preparing the station ahead of each shift, ensuring tables are set with the appropriate cutlery and condiments, and assisting servers by refilling drinks and clearing used dishes and glassware efficiently. Furthermore, you will be responsible for delivering hot food directly to guests promptly when ordered in the kitchen aisle, and for properly organizing and cleaning tables and surrounding areas. Adherence to all food safety and cleanliness standards is mandatory, ensuring that each guest enjoys a safe and pleasant dining experience.
Working as a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster not only involves physical tasks such as bending, reaching, crouching, and carrying loads up to 30 pounds safely but also requires standing for shifts ranging from eight to twelve hours. The role demands teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic restaurant environment. This position offers great career advancement opportunities through comprehensive training and the chance to grow within the company. Red Lobster provides its employees with excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than ten dollars a week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contribution after one year of service. Employees also enjoy discounted meals during shifts and additional guest discounts, making this an appealing workplace for those passionate about hospitality and customer service.
The physical demands and responsibilities of this role come with the assurance that reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities, emphasizing Red Lobster's commitment to diversity and inclusiveness. This is an equal opportunity employment environment where all employees and applicants receive fair treatment regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Red Lobster is excited about its future, and there is no better time to become a valuable member of this family-oriented team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences and a supportive work environment.
