Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain that started as a family-owned business with a vision of connecting people to the coastal seafood experience. Over the past fifty years, Red Lobster has grown to operate more than 500 restaurants across the United States, each representing the same passion for exceptional seafood and memorable dining experiences. As a company, Red Lobster prides itself on being more than just a dining venue; it is a vital part of the communities it serves, where new friends become familiar faces and every meal shared is special. With a legacy rooted in delivering quality food and service, Red Lobster continues to expand its culinary tradition while fostering a welcoming work environment for its employees.
The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is an essential position integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant and delivering exceptional customer service. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive hourly pay ranging between $16.90 and $25.00, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package. The Busser/Runner is responsible for greeting guests warmly, maintaining clean and well-prepared dining areas, facilitating timely food service by delivering dishes from the kitchen to the tables, and supporting the wait staff with multiple tasks throughout each shift. Those who thrive in this position demonstrate strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the physical stamina to perform duties that require standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and carrying items up to 30 pounds.
At Red Lobster, employees benefit from flexible scheduling designed to accommodate diverse lifestyles and commitments. The company offers significant employee advantages including weekly pay, competitive salaries, medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and voluntary benefits. Additionally, Red Lobster provides a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions after one year of service and anniversary pay for eligible staff members. Employees enjoy discounted meals during shifts and a 25% discount when dining as guests. Career growth is actively encouraged, with extensive training and opportunities to advance within the company.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a dynamic team that values inclusivity, respect, and equal opportunity for all. The company is committed to creating a welcoming workplace where diversity is celebrated and every employee can thrive regardless of age, race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or other factors. As a Busser/Runner, you will play a key role in continuing this tradition of excellence and contributing to a warm, inviting atmosphere where customers feel valued and appreciated. There is great potential for personal and professional growth as Red Lobster plans for an exciting future with expanding operations that make now the perfect time to be part of the team.
