Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established and respected seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history, originally starting as a family-owned restaurant with the vision of connecting people with the flavors and ambiance of the coast. Today, Red Lobster has grown into a family of more than 500 restaurants that proudly serve guests in their communities. The company prides itself on being much more than just a dining place; it is a space where new friendships grow and regular guests feel right at home. Red Lobster is dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences by offering favorite meals and special moments to customers, solidifying its place as a cherished part of the communities it serves.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is a dynamic and essential position within the restaurant's team. This job offers flexible schedules, competitive weekly pay, and a pay range from $11.41 to $25.00 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals looking to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment. In addition to a competitive salary, Red Lobster provides great benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and voluntary benefits. Employees also have access to a 401(k) savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay based on eligibility, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Beyond the benefits, Red Lobster values growth and development by offering training and career advancement opportunities, making it an excellent place to build a long-term career.
As a Busser/Runner, your responsibilities will include welcoming each guest with a smile to ensure a great first impression, preparing your station before shifts, setting tables with necessary utensils and condiments, refilling drinks, clearing dishes and glassware, and promptly delivering food from the kitchen to the customers. Your role supports the waitstaff by assisting with guest needs and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout the dining area. You will clear tables, reset them, clean seating and floors, communicate table availability to the team, and organize items in the dishwashing area. The position demands attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
Moreover, the physical demands of the job include the ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, and stand for long periods during shifts that may last between 8 to 12 hours. While these physical tasks are essential, Red Lobster is committed to making reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities to enable them to perform the job's core functions.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a company with big plans for the future while enjoying a friendly workforce and fulfilling work environment today. The company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where diversity is celebrated without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. If you are looking to join a company that values community, teamwork, and career growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
