Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established, family-owned seafood restaurant chain that has been serving up a connection to seafood and coastal dining experiences for over fifty years. With more than 500 restaurants across various communities, Red Lobster takes pride in being more than just a dining destination — it is a place where guests feel welcome, and staff members become a part of a friendly, supportive team. The company combines a rich tradition with modern service, offering guests their favorite meals alongside memorable moments. Employees at Red Lobster enjoy being part of a vibrant community-driven environment where new friends become familiar faces, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is integral to maintaining the high service standards that the restaurant is known for. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with guests, supporting the wait staff, and ensuring the restaurant remains clean, organized, and efficient throughout each shift. Employees can expect a job that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and physical activity, all while delivering excellent guest service. This role involves setting stations for shifts, ensuring tables are properly set with silverware and condiments, managing drink refills, running hot food from the kitchen to guests, and maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards. The Busser/Runner supports the dining experience by clearing and resetting tables promptly and communicating effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service operations.
Red Lobster offers flexibility with scheduling and competitive wages, along with weekly pay to help employees manage their finances conveniently. Benefits include affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, employees become eligible to participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching contributions, supporting their financial future. Additional perks include anniversary pay for employees who meet certain criteria, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest, adding value to the overall employee experience. The company emphasizes career growth, providing training and advancement opportunities within the organization to help staff develop their skills and achieve long-term career goals.
The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, making it suitable for energetic and resilient individuals. Red Lobster is committed to ensuring that reasonable accommodations are available for employees with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The company also prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity in its hiring practices, welcoming applicants of all backgrounds, regardless of age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a passionate team with exciting plans for the future. The company fosters a welcoming atmosphere that encourages teamwork and a strong connection to both guests and community, making it an excellent workplace for those eager to grow professionally while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
