Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain that began over fifty years ago with the vision of providing guests a unique connection to seafood and coastal flavors. With more than 500 locations, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved dining establishment where guests not only enjoy their meals but also experience a warm and inviting community atmosphere. The restaurant prides itself on being more than just a place to eat; it is a place where new friends become familiar faces, and every seat in the restaurant is an extension of their founding passion for exceptional service and quality food.
Red Lobster is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Bussers/Runners. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the restaurant and directly contributes to the dining experience by supporting servers and ensuring that guests have a pleasant visit. The position offers competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision options starting at less than $10 per week. Employees also enjoy life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest are additional perks.
As a Busser/Runner, you will play a vital role in welcoming guests with a smile, setting up your work station for the shift, and ensuring the dining area is clean and well-stocked. Your responsibilities will include refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, and promptly running hot food orders to guests. You will assist servers by providing guest support as needed and maintain all food safety and cleanliness standards. Clearing and resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, communicating table readiness, and breaking down items in the dish area are also key aspects of your role.
Physical stamina and teamwork are important in this role, as it demands being on your feet, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds safely, and moving efficiently throughout the restaurant during an 8 to 12-hour shift. Red Lobster values attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The company is committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform these essential functions.
Red Lobster is excited about the future and invites candidates to become part of their family, where growth and advancement opportunities are supported through training and career development. Embracing diversity and inclusion, Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, fostering a welcoming workplace for employees and applicants regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic restaurant team dedicated to providing memorable dining experiences and becoming part of a community-oriented and expansive company.
