Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain with over fifty years of history, dedicated to providing guests with memorable dining experiences centered on seafood and coastal flavors. With more than 500 restaurant locations, Red Lobster prides itself on being more than just a place to eat — it is an integral part of the communities it serves. The company focuses on building strong connections with guests and employees alike, making every dining experience special. Red Lobster is known for its welcoming atmosphere and quality service, driven by a passionate team that values hospitality and guest satisfaction.
The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is vital to ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations. This part-time position offers weekly pay with competitive wages and flexible scheduling, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking work-life balance. Busser/Runners are the backbone of the service team, responsible for creating a welcoming environment for guests and supporting servers in delivering prompt, attentive service. From greeting guests with a friendly smile to setting up stations and maintaining cleanliness, this role is hands-on and fast-paced. It includes duties such as refilling drinks, clearing dishes, and running hot food to tables, all while adhering to food safety and cleanliness standards. Busser/Runners at Red Lobster work in a team-oriented environment where attention to detail and multitasking are essential.
Additionally, Red Lobster offers an attractive benefits package for its Busser/Runner staff, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. The position also includes life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and participation in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Other perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted shift meals, and a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster emphasizes growth and career advancement, providing training and opportunities for its team members to develop their careers within the company.
This role is physically demanding and requires individuals who can bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain standing for 8 to 12 hour shifts. It’s ideal for team players who are attentive to detail and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Red Lobster is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. As Red Lobster looks toward the future with ambitious plans, joining this team offers a chance to become part of a growing family that values its employees and the communities it serves. This is a rewarding role for individuals seeking a dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute meaningfully and grow professionally within a well-established and respected restaurant brand.
