Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain specializing in seafood, with a history spanning over fifty years. Originating from a family-owned restaurant with a vision to connect people with the coastal seafood experience, Red Lobster has grown to operate over 500 restaurants. Each location represents a continuation of the founding passion, where the restaurant not only serves food but acts as a gathering place for families and friends, creating memorable dining experiences. The company prides itself on being a part of the communities it serves, turning new customers into familiar faces. Red Lobster is committed to maintaining its reputation by offering quality seafood dishes alongside exceptional customer service. They have developed a supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow and advance in their careers.
The company is currently hiring for the position of Busser/Runner. This role is integral in supporting the restaurant staff to ensure guests have a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will be the first person to greet guests with a welcoming smile. Your responsibilities include preparing your station for the shift, ensuring tables are set with necessary utensils and condiments, refilling drinks, clearing used dishes and glassware, and delivering hot food to guests promptly from the pass. Additionally, you will assist servers as needed, comply with all safety and food cleanliness standards, and keep dining areas tidy by resetting tables and cleaning seats and floors. Communication skills will be important, as you will notify the team when tables become available and help sort items in the dishwashing area.
The position offers competitive weekly pay with flexible scheduling options. Employees have access to affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, along with life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. The company also provides a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions after one year of service. Additional perks include paid anniversary bonuses, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster fosters a culture of growth by offering training and career advancement opportunities to help employees succeed.
Physical requirements for succeeding in this role include meeting the minimum age and work authorization requirements for employment in the United States. The job demands the ability to bend, reach, squat, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, as well as stand for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrate attention to detail, and perform multiple tasks efficiently. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.
Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This is a great opportunity to join a respected company with exciting plans for the future and be part of a welcoming family-oriented team.
