Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich heritage that began over fifty years ago with a family-owned establishment focused on providing a unique connection to seafood and coastal dining. Today, Red Lobster proudly operates over 500 restaurants, each one continuing the founding passion of setting the table for memorable meals and meaningful moments. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, commitment to community, and quality dining experience, Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat - it is a gathering place where new acquaintances become familiar faces and customers feel like family. The company values its team members and invests in their growth by offering career training and advancement opportunities. The inclusive workplace fosters a culture where employees are appreciated, supported, and provided with competitive wages and benefits.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and pleasant dining experience for every guest. This part-time position involves performing essential duties such as warmly welcoming guests, setting up stations for shifts, ensuring tables are properly stocked with silverware and condiments, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. You will assist servers by refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, running hot food to guests promptly, and communicating table readiness. Attention to food safety and cleanliness standards is vital, as you will also be responsible for clearing dishes, resetting tables, cleaning seating areas and floors, and breaking down items in the dish area. Physical stamina and multitasking skills are important, as the role requires standing and moving around the restaurant during shifts that may last 8 to 12 hours.
Working at Red Lobster offers more than just a job - it is an opportunity to be part of a family that invests in its employees' well-being and growth. The company offers weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and competitive wages, along with options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Employees may also enjoy anniversary pay (subject to eligibility), discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as guests. Red Lobster is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, ensuring fair treatment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a team with BIG plans for the future. The company’s restaurants are thriving, and the future looks brighter than ever. Now is an exciting time to contribute your skills and enthusiasm to the Red Lobster family, where teamwork, quality service, and community are always at the heart of what they do. This role is ideal for individuals who are team players with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multi-task, and who can meet the physical demands of the job such as bending, reaching, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations are provided for individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform essential job functions successfully.
