Job Description
Red Lobster is an iconic seafood restaurant brand with a rich heritage dating back over fifty years. Originating from a single family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved chain with more than 500 locations, each dedicated to delivering fresh, quality seafood and creating memorable dining experiences for guests. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat; it aims to be a cherished part of the communities it serves by fostering warm and welcoming environments where new friends become familiar faces. Red Lobster is committed to excellence in hospitality, employee development, and customer satisfaction, making it a premier destination for both employees and guests.
Currently, Red Lobster is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Busser/Runners to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, supporting servers and kitchen staff, and enhancing the guest experience. Working at Red Lobster offers competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling to accommodate various availability needs, and valuable opportunities for advancement within a well-established company. Employees benefit from affordable medical, dental, and vision plans starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and voluntary benefits. Additionally, the restaurant offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible employees, and discounts on meals during shifts as well as dining discounts when guests are accompanied by employees.
The Busser/Runner plays a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests with a smile as they enter the restaurant. Responsibilities include setting up stations for each shift, ensuring tables are properly stocked with silverware and condiments, and maintaining cleanliness throughout dining areas. The position involves refilling drinks and pre-bussing tables to prepare for new guests, running hot food orders from the kitchen to guests promptly, supporting servers as needed, and following stringent food safety and cleanliness standards to guarantee a safe dining environment. Furthermore, the Busser/Runner is responsible for clearing and resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, communicating table availability efficiently, and assisting with tasks in the dish area.
Physical demands of the job require applicants to meet minimum age and work authorization requirements, have the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, and be capable of standing and moving throughout the restaurant during shifts that can last 8 to 12 hours. The position calls for team players who are detail-oriented and capable of multitasking effectively within a fast-paced dining environment. Red Lobster is proud to offer reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
As Red Lobster prepares for exciting new developments, it remains committed to maintaining its reputation as a great place to work. Joining the Red Lobster family means becoming part of a team dedicated to service excellence, community involvement, and career growth. The restaurant’s equal opportunity employment policy ensures a respectful and inclusive workplace for employees of all backgrounds, without discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This is an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to an iconic seafood dining experience as a valued member of the Red Lobster team.
