Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established and beloved seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. It began as a single family-owned restaurant with a vision to connect people with the unique flavors of the sea and the coast. Today, Red Lobster operates over 500 locations, each serving as a welcoming community hub where guests enjoy their favorite meals and cherish memorable moments. The company prides itself not only on excellent food and service but also on being an integral part of the communities it serves. Working at Red Lobster means joining a family that values passion, hospitality, and the opportunity to grow within the company.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster offers a part-time employment opportunity where team members play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience. Responsibilities include welcoming guests with a smile, setting up stations for shifts, ensuring tables are properly equipped with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, and assisting servers as needed. Bussers and Runners also help run hot food to tables promptly, pre-bus tables by clearing dishes, resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset. Employees have the chance to work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment with flexible scheduling options that accommodate varied personal needs.
Red Lobster offers attractive benefits for its employees, including weekly pay, competitive wages, and affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans starting at less than $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after completing one year of service. Eligible employees may also receive anniversary pay. The company fosters a supportive work culture where training and career advancement opportunities are prioritized, allowing staff to grow personally and professionally. Employee perks include discounted shift meals and a 25% discount when dining as a guest, promoting a satisfying and rewarding work-life balance.
Red Lobster is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. The company welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds and does not discriminate based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The physical demands of the Busser/Runner position include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, remain on feet for extended periods, and move throughout the restaurant during shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. With exciting plans for growth and improvement on the horizon, there is no better time to join the Red Lobster family and contribute to a company that values its employees and provides a welcoming environment for all.
