Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant company with a rich history rooted in family values and a passion for seafood. Established over fifty years ago, the company began as a small family-owned restaurant with the vision of providing guests with a unique connection to the coast and seafood cuisine. Today, Red Lobster operates more than 500 restaurants, each serving as a welcoming space where favorite meals and special moments are shared. The company prides itself on being more than just a dining destination; it is a community hub where new friendships are formed and familiar faces are greeted warmly. This commitment to community and quality continues to drive Red Lobster’s success and growth.
As an employer, Red Lobster is committed to offering a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic workplace. The company provides competitive weekly pay and flexible scheduling to accommodate employees’ diverse needs. Additionally, comprehensive insurance options, including medical, dental, and vision coverage starting at less than $10 per week, are available. Employees also benefit from life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. With a 401(k) retirement savings plan that includes company contributions after one year of service, Red Lobster supports its employees' long-term financial security. The company recognizes employee milestones with anniversary pay and offers discounted meals during shifts as well as a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Moreover, Red Lobster is dedicated to employee development, providing training and career advancement opportunities to help workers grow and move forward professionally.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is essential to maintaining the restaurant’s high standard of service and hospitality. Busser/Runners are responsible for ensuring each customer receives a warm welcome with a smile and that their dining environment is well-prepared and maintained throughout their visit. This includes setting up stations before shifts, ensuring tables have necessary utensils and condiments, refilling beverages, clearing used dishes and glassware, and delivering hot food safely from the kitchen to guests. The position also involves assisting servers with customer needs as required, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to all food safety protocols. Busser/Runners help create a positive dining experience by resetting tables, cleaning seating and floors, managing table availability communication, and organizing items in dishwashing areas.
This physically active role requires employees to meet certain physical demands, such as bending, reaching, crouching, safely carrying up to 30 pounds, and standing for eight to twelve hours per shift. Red Lobster emphasizes its commitment to accommodating employees with disabilities by making reasonable adjustments to enable all team members to perform their essential job functions successfully. The restaurant’s vibrant team culture and commitment to excellence make this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their careers in the hospitality industry. Joining Red Lobster means being part of a family-focused, community-oriented company with exciting plans for the future and a strong dedication to equal opportunity employment.
