Job Description

Red Lobster began as a family-owned restaurant with a vision to connect people with seafood and the coast, and over fifty years later it has grown into a thriving restaurant chain with more than 500 locations. Each Red Lobster restaurant continues that founding passion, serving as a place where favorite meals and special moments are shared by guests. Red Lobster is more than just a restaurant; it is an important part of the communities it serves, transforming new guests into familiar faces through hospitality and quality service. The company prides itself on being a welcoming employer offering competitive weekly pay and numerous benefits including flexible schedules, affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at under $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Additionally, Red Lobster supports the financial security of its employees through a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay subject to eligibility, discounted shift meals, and discounts on dining as a guest. The company emphasizes career growth through training and development opportunities creating a path for advancement within the restaurant family.

The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is vital in ensuring a seamless customer experience by maintaining cleanliness, timely service, and supporting the servers and kitchen staff. The Busser/Runner is responsible for warmly greeting each guest and preparing the dining areas before their shift, ensuring tables are fully set with silverware and condiments. They replenish beverages, clear used plates and glassware, and deliver hot food promptly once it is ready from the kitchen. Supporting servers by assisting customers as needed and abiding by all food safety and sanitation standards is essential to the role. Bussers and Runners also reset tables after guests depart by cleaning seats and floors and reporting table availability to hosts or managers. Organizational skills are important as Bussers separate items in the dishwashing area and keep the dining space orderly. Physically, the role demands standing for long shifts, frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and safely lifting up to 30 pounds, requiring stamina and teamwork with a focus on detail and multitasking. Red Lobster strives to accommodate individuals with disabilities by making reasonable adaptations for essential job functions. This position offers a dynamic work environment where employees can contribute to a positive dining atmosphere, interact regularly with guests, and develop hospitality skills. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a future-oriented restaurant group dedicated to excellence, community connections, and employee well-being. There has never been a better time to join the Red Lobster family and take advantage of the supportive workplace, competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities provided.
