Their commitment extends beyond serving great food — Red Lobster is dedicated to inclusivity, opportunity, and employee growth, making it an excellent place to build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster offers an engaging entry point into the fast-paced restaurant environment, focusing on stellar customer service and operational efficiency. This position is vital in creating an inviting dining atmosphere by assisting servers in maintaining clean tables, delivering dishes promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Weekly pay and competitive wages ranging from USD 15.16 to USD 25.00 per hour are offered, alongside flexible scheduling, making this role suitable for individuals seeking balance alongside their career ambitions. Employees benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount for dining with guests enhance the overall compensation package.
Busser/Runners at Red Lobster are the backbone of a smooth dining experience. Responsibilities include greeting guests with a genuine smile, preparing the station before service, ensuring tables are fully stocked with utensils and condiments, refilling drinks, clearing plates promptly, and assisting servers in attending to guests as needed. They must consistently follow food safety and cleanliness standards, resetting tables and cleaning floors after customers depart, communicating table availability, and separating items in the dish-washing area. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely carry up to 30 pounds and to stand for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. This role demands teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment. Accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions successfully.
