The restaurant prides itself on delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing quality meals, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment rooted in the passion for seafood and coastal flavors. As an established name in the casual dining sector, Red Lobster has built a reputation for its commitment to guest satisfaction and employee development.
Working at Red Lobster means being part of a dynamic and supportive team that values career growth and flexibility. Employees enjoy competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling to balance work and life, and access to comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at an affordable rate. Additional perks include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay eligibility, and discounted meals for shifts as well as guest dining. Red Lobster emphasizes training and career advancement opportunities to empower team members to grow within the company.
The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is an integral part of the front-of-house team, ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience for guests. This position requires a friendly demeanor to welcome guests warmly, attention to detail in setting up the station each shift, and efficiency in delivering hot food promptly. Responsibilities include maintaining proper table settings by ensuring silverware and condiments are ready, assisting servers by refilling drinks and pre-bussing tables, and adhering strictly to food safety and cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
The Busser/Runner also plays a vital role in clearing and resetting tables quickly, communicating table readiness to hosts and servers, and helping maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and dish station. Physical stamina is essential, as the role demands the ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds safely. Being a team player with the capability to multitask and an eye for detail contributes significantly to the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Red Lobster fosters an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, embracing diversity and equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Prospective employees can expect a supportive environment where they can thrive personally and professionally while contributing to an iconic brand whose future is as exciting as its legacy. With pay ranging from $16.60 to $25.00 per hour, this position offers a competitive wage commensurate with experience and performance.
