Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant chain that began as a family-owned establishment with a vision to connect people with seafood and the coastal experience. With over fifty years of history, Red Lobster has grown into a family of more than 500 restaurants. Each restaurant is an extension of the founding passion to provide special experiences through favorite meals and memorable moments. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat; it is a community hub where new acquaintances become familiar faces, creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for both guests and employees alike.
Working at Red Lobster means becoming part of a vibrant team dedicated to high standards of service, quality food, and customer satisfaction. The company values flexibility and offers competitive salaries with weekly pay to support its employees. Employees benefit from flexible scheduling that helps maintain a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, Red Lobster provides robust healthcare options including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits are also part of the comprehensive offerings designed to protect and support its workforce.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is essential in maintaining the seamless flow of restaurant operations and guest satisfaction. As a Busser/Runner, you will be the friendly face greeting guests, helping prepare the station for shifts, ensuring tables are properly set with utensils and condiments, and assisting in clearing dishes and glassware efficiently. Your responsibilities include refilling beverages, delivering warm food to guests promptly from the pass, supporting servers as needed, and adhering strictly to food safety and cleanliness standards.
Attention to detail, teamwork, and multitasking abilities are crucial in this role as you will be responsible for communicating table availability, resetting and cleaning tables, and managing dishware in the dishwashing area. The position requires physical stamina including the ability to stand for long shifts (8 to 12 hours) and safely handle loads of up to 30 pounds. Red Lobster actively supports accommodations for employees with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive workplace where everyone can perform essential functions.
This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to join a globally recognized brand with a clear path for career growth. Red Lobster offers ongoing training and career advancement options, making it an excellent choice for those looking to build a long-term career in the hospitality industry. With generous anniversary pay, meal discounts, and a 401(k) plan with company contributions after one year of service, Red Lobster is committed to rewarding dedication and loyalty.
If you are motivated by a fast-paced work environment that focuses on customer experience, teamwork, and personal growth, the Busser/Runner position at Red Lobster offers a supportive and exciting workplace to develop your skills and be part of a passionate team. The company emphasizes equal employment opportunities and fosters diversity and inclusion across all locations.
