Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Founded as a family-owned business, Red Lobster has grown into a welcoming dining destination with more than 500 locations. The company's core mission is to create a special connection between guests and the coastal seafood experience, embodying a sense of community and warmth throughout each restaurant. At Red Lobster, every seat marks an opportunity to share favorite meals and create memorable moments, reflecting the founding passion to be more than just a place to eat or work. The company prides itself on being an integral part of the communities it serves, where new friends quickly become familiar faces, fostering a family atmosphere among both guests and employees.
This compelling opportunity is for the position of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster. As a Busser/Runner, you play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations while delivering excellent customer service. This position offers weekly pay and competitive salaries, along with flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyle needs. Additionally, Red Lobster provides attractive benefits packages, including medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week. Comprehensive insurance benefits like life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits are available. After one year of service, employees become eligible for a company-contributed 401(k) retirement saving plan. The company also offers anniversary bonuses, discounted meal options during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
As a Busser/Runner, your responsibilities will include greeting every guest with a smile, preparing your station before each shift, ensuring tables are set with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, and clearing dishes promptly. You will also deliver hot food to guests when ready from the hallway, assist servers when necessary, and always adhere to food safety and cleanliness protocols. Keeping the dining area tidy by clearing and resetting tables as well as cleaning seats and floors are key duties. You will communicate table availability efficiently and sort items in the dishwashing area. This role requires physical capability to bend, reach, squat, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, and the ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours per shift. Teamwork, attention to detail, multitasking, and compliance with workplace health and safety standards are essential traits.
Red Lobster is proud of its welcoming, inclusive workplace culture and is committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The company acknowledges the physical demands involved in this job and supports reasonable accommodations to enable employees with disabilities to perform essential functions successfully. With ambitious growth plans on the horizon, joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a dynamic team and a bright future in the restaurant industry. This is a perfect moment to join the Red Lobster family and contribute to sharing the coastal seafood experience with guests while developing your career in a supportive environment.
