Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Originally started as a family-owned restaurant with a vision to provide a unique connection between people and the seafood and coastal experience, Red Lobster has grown to consist of over 500 restaurants. The company takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy their favorite meals and celebrate special moments. This spirit of community fosters a warm environment where new friends quickly become familiar faces, highlighting Red Lobster not just as a dining spot but as an integral part of the neighborhoods it serves.
The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is essential in maintaining this inviting atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations within the restaurant. This position is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality and enjoy creating positive experiences for guests. Bussers/Runners act as a vital support system for servers by helping to set up the dining area, assisting with beverage refills, clearing and resetting tables, and delivering food to customers promptly. Working in this role offers flexible scheduling and competitive weekly pay, along with opportunities for career growth and development within the company. New hires benefit from comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, short-term disability insurance, life insurance, and voluntary benefits. Employees also have access to a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year, milestone pay for anniversaries based on eligibility, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as guests.
Physical fitness and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role. Red Lobster seeks team players with strong attention to detail who can bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds safely while standing for shifts between 8 to 12 hours. This role requires compliance with all food safety and cleanliness guidelines to maintain a high standard of customer service. The company fosters an inclusive workplace culture committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or other protected categories.
There are exciting growth plans for the Red Lobster brand, underlining the importance of the Busser/Runner role within the team. Joining this family means becoming part of a supportive community with opportunities for advancement, making this an excellent job choice for those who value a positive work environment and enjoy working with people.
