Job Description
Red Lobster is an iconic seafood restaurant chain that began with a single family-owned restaurant more than fifty years ago. It was founded with a vision to create a special connection between people and the coast by serving fresh, high-quality seafood in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Today, Red Lobster operates over 500 locations and is recognized as a leader in the casual dining industry, known for its flavorful dishes and inviting dining experience. The company's commitment to community involvement and hospitality makes it more than just a place to eat; it is a place where new friendships are formed, and every guest is treated like family.
As a part-time Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will play a vital role in delivering attentive and friendly service to guests. This position acts as the backbone of the restaurant’s smooth operation, ensuring that cleanliness, food safety, and customer satisfaction are consistently maintained. As a Busser/Runner, you will be the first to greet guests with a warm smile, assist servers by refilling drinks and pre-bussing tables, run hot food from the kitchen to guests quickly and safely, and ensure that tables are properly reset and ready for the next guests. This role requires a team player who has attention to detail, the ability to multitask efficiently, and the physical stamina to meet the demands of an active restaurant environment.
Working at Red Lobster comes with competitive wages and weekly pay, along with flexible scheduling options designed to fit various lifestyles and commitments. Employees also have access to affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans starting at less than $10 per week, as well as life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, team members become eligible for the 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match. Additional perks include anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Furthermore, Red Lobster is committed to training and career development, providing clear opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Red Lobster fosters an inclusive and welcoming work environment where diversity is valued and respected. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The physical requirements of the Busser/Runner role involve bending, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 30 pounds safely, as well as the ability to remain standing and move about during shifts of 8 to 12 hours. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Joining Red Lobster now means being part of an exciting future filled with growth, innovation, and a stronger connection to guests and communities served. If you enjoy dynamic environments, working as part of a collaborative team, and providing exceptional guest experiences, a part-time Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is an excellent opportunity to start or grow your career in the restaurant industry.
