Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain with over fifty years of history, dedicated to bringing a special connection between people and seafood. What began as a single establishment with a passionate vision has grown into a community-focused dining experience with over 500 locations. Red Lobster prides itself on being more than just a place to eat; it is a vibrant part of the communities it serves, where guests and employees alike form lasting relationships and memorable moments. The company is committed to offering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all, emphasizing equal opportunity and diversity across every location. Red Lobster's culture fosters family values and professional growth, making it an ideal workplace for individuals seeking a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.
The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is integral to ensuring a seamless dining experience for every guest. As a Busser/Runner, you will be the face of hospitality that welcomes guests with a warm smile while supporting the servers and kitchen staff to create a smooth operation. This position is dynamic and requires versatility—setting up stations before shifts, replenishing condiments and silverware, and efficiently clearing and resetting tables. On the floor, you will assist in refilling drinks and delivering hot food promptly to guests. You will uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety while maintaining communication with the team to ensure tables are prepared and available for incoming diners. This job also requires physical stamina to maneuver throughout the restaurant for 8 to 12 hours, including standing and lifting up to 30 pounds.
At Red Lobster, employees benefit from weekly pay and competitive wages, with an hourly pay rate ranging from $16.37 to $25.00. The company values work-life balance and offers flexible scheduling to accommodate various needs. Employees can access a comprehensive benefits package that includes options for medical, dental, and vision coverage starting at less than $10 per week. Additional protections include life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits to provide peace of mind. Red Lobster supports long-term financial health through a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching after one year of service, as well as special anniversary pay for eligible team members. To show appreciation, employees receive discounted shift meals and a 25% guest dining discount. What truly sets this role apart is the opportunity for career advancement through thorough training and mentorship. Red Lobster encourages growth from within, preparing dedicated employees for future leadership roles within the company.
Joining Red Lobster means being part of a company with exciting future plans and a commitment to creating positive experiences for both guests and team members. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a thriving environment where teamwork, respect, and service excellence are at the forefront. If you are enthusiastic about customer service, enjoy a fast-paced work environment, and desire a career path in the restaurant industry, this Busser/Runner position is designed for you.
