Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain that has been serving guests for over fifty years. Rooted in a passion for connecting people with the coast and delivering exceptional seafood dining experiences, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved brand with more than 500 restaurants nationwide. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat and work; it fosters a welcoming community where new friends become familiar faces and guests enjoy memorable meals with family and friends.
The position of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to outstanding guest service. This role is crafted for individuals who enjoy fast-paced environments and are committed to maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the restaurant. As a Busser/Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a pleasant dining experience by engaging guests with a friendly welcome, maintaining clean and well-prepared tables, and supporting servers and kitchen staff to keep operations running smoothly. This is a physically active position that requires the ability to stand for long hours, handle light lifting, and move quickly around the restaurant.
Red Lobster provides competitive wages ranging from USD 15.16 to USD 25.00 per hour, with weekly pay and flexible scheduling options. Employees benefit from options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. The company also offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. There are ample opportunities for career advancement through comprehensive training programs and a supportive work environment that encourages professional growth.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests with a smile, setting up your station for each shift, ensuring tables are stocked with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, and delivering hot food to guests. You will assist servers as needed, follow strict food safety and cleanliness standards, clear and reset tables, clean seats and floors, communicate table readiness to the team, and help in the dish area by breaking down items efficiently. Success in this role depends on being a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
The physical demands of the Busser/Runner position include the capacity to bend, stoop, reach, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. You must be able to stand and move around the restaurant continuously for 8 to 12-hour shifts. Red Lobster is committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform essential job functions. The company values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace for employees of all backgrounds, including those regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
