Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain with over fifty years of experience in providing guests with a special connection to seafood and coastal cuisine. This establishment has grown from a single restaurant to a family of more than 500 restaurants, each upholding the original passion for fresh seafood and welcoming hospitality. At Red Lobster, every seat represents more than just a place to dine; it is a part of the community where new friends become familiar faces. The company prides itself on more than just serving meals; it fosters an atmosphere and experience that guests cherish, making it a staple in the regions it serves.
Working at Red Lobster means being part of a legacy that values quality food, excellent service, and a supportive work environment. The company is dedicated to offering its employees weekly pay, competitive wages, and flexible scheduling to accommodate diverse lifestyles and personal commitments. Employees have access to affordable medical, dental, and vision plans starting at less than $10 per week, along with life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Furthermore, Red Lobster offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay to recognize continued commitment, and discounted meals during shifts plus a 25% discount when dining as a guest. The company is also deeply invested in employee growth and career advancement, providing training and opportunities for internal mobility.
The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is vital to delivering the seamless dining experience guests expect. This position involves warmly welcoming guests, preparing the station for shifts, maintaining tables with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, and assisting the servers by running hot food to guests promptly. The Busser/Runner plays an important role in maintaining cleanliness by clearing dishes, resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, and ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are rigorously followed. Communication is key in this role, particularly in coordinating table readiness with the serving team to optimize guest satisfaction. This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to stand for extended shifts, safely lift up to 30 pounds, and move efficiently throughout the restaurant. Teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential qualities for success in this fast-paced environment.
Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and encourages diversity in its workforce. The company is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming workplace for all employees and applicants, irrespective of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. With exciting plans for growth and continued excellence on the horizon, there has never been a better time to join the Red Lobster family and contribute to its ongoing success. Employees of Red Lobster are part of a respected brand that not only serves outstanding seafood but also creates memorable guest experiences and meaningful career opportunities.
