Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain, rooted in a rich heritage that spans over fifty years. Beginning with a single establishment founded on the vision of offering a special connection to seafood and the coastal experience, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved dining destination with over 500 restaurants nationwide. The company prides itself on creating memorable dining experiences that bring people together, fostering a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy their favorite meals and create lasting moments with family and friends. Red Lobster is deeply integrated within the communities it serves, valuing the relationships built between staff and patrons alike. This sense of belonging extends to the employees, who become part of an ever-growing family committed to hospitality and quality service.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant while ensuring guests receive exceptional service throughout their dining experience. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling and competitive wages with weekly pay, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to join a dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The position also comes with various benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Employees are further rewarded through anniversary pay for those meeting eligibility requirements, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. The company emphasizes career growth and development, offering training and advancement opportunities within the organization.
The Busser/Runner position involves welcoming guests with a friendly demeanor, setting up stations before shifts, ensuring tables are properly stocked with silverware and condiments, and assisting servers by refilling drinks and pre-bussing where needed. You will also be responsible for delivering hot food promptly to guests, maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, clearing and resetting tables, and communicating when tables are ready for new visitors. Additionally, you will assist in breaking down items in the dish area to help maintain an efficient workflow behind the scenes. This role requires the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while supporting a team-oriented culture.
Physically, the position demands the ability to stand for extended periods—typically 8 to 12 hours per shift—and the capability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds safely. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential qualities, as is the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities throughout the workday. Red Lobster is committed to inclusivity and equal opportunity employment, striving to provide a supportive workplace for all employees, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This is an exciting time to join Red Lobster, as the company continues to evolve and expand its presence, providing a platform for employees to grow personally and professionally within a respected brand in the restaurant industry.
