Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain that began over fifty years ago with a simple vision to connect people with fresh seafood and a coastal dining experience. Established on the principles of quality, hospitality, and community, the company has expanded to over 500 restaurants across various locations, each serving as an extension of the founding passion. Red Lobster is not just a dining destination; it is a place where guests enjoy their favorite meals and create memorable moments. The restaurant emphasizes being a part of the communities it serves, turning new visitors into familiar faces and friends.
Working at Red Lobster means becoming part of a team committed to excellence and growth. The company offers competitive wages, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles and needs. Employees can benefit from options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at an affordable rate of less than $10 per week. Additionally, the restaurant provides life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits to support the well-being and security of its workforce. Employees who stay for one year become eligible for a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, encouraging long-term financial planning. Anniversary pay is also offered to recognize the commitment of loyal staff members.
The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is integral to ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest. As a Busser/Runner, you will be responsible for welcoming guests warmly, setting up your station for each shift, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant. Your duties will include pre-bussing tables, refilling drinks, running hot food to tables promptly and safely, and supporting servers to provide seamless service. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards are critical in this position. The role demands physical agility as you will be moving constantly, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds safely during shifts that typically last between 8 to 12 hours.
This position is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to start or advance their career in the hospitality industry. Red Lobster offers comprehensive training and numerous career opportunities, fostering an environment where employees can grow and develop their skills. The company values teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude, making it a welcoming place for everyone committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Red Lobster takes pride in being an equal opportunity employer, ensuring a workplace free from discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The company is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their job functions effectively. With big plans for the future, Red Lobster invites passionate, hardworking individuals to join their family and be part of the exciting journey ahead.
