Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established, family-owned seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of experience serving delicious meals and creating memorable dining experiences. Known for its warm hospitality and connection to the coast, Red Lobster has grown to operate over 500 locations, each emphasizing community and quality. This restaurant chain prides itself on more than just great food. It focuses on fostering a welcoming environment where guests feel like family and where employees are valued for their contributions and growth potential.
Working at Red Lobster means becoming part of a legacy rooted in passion for seafood and customer service excellence. The company offers competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Employees can also take advantage of anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest. The company emphasizes career development by providing training and opportunities for advancement, aiming to help team members grow professionally within the organization.
The position of Busser/Runner is critical to the smooth operation of each restaurant. This role ensures guests receive a seamless dining experience by maintaining cleanliness, assisting servers, and supporting the overall flow of service. Busser/Runners welcome guests warmly, set up their stations before shifts, replenish supplies like silverware and condiments, and help with drink refills and clearing tables. They also assist servers by running hot food to guests promptly and ensuring tables are clean and reset for the next party. Attention to food safety and restaurant cleanliness standards is a key responsibility, as well as communicating table readiness and supporting the dish area by breaking down equipment and supplies after use.
This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to move around the restaurant frequently and remain on one’s feet for long shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. The ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds safely is essential. Red Lobster values team players who have a keen attention to detail and are capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to ensure all employees can perform their duties effectively.
Joining Red Lobster means being part of a forward-thinking team with big plans for the future while contributing to a friendly and dynamic workplace culture. The company is an equal opportunity employer that fosters a respectful environment and welcomes applicants regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding job in the hospitality industry with ample benefits, career growth opportunities, and a supportive community atmosphere.
