As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you play a vital role in creating an exceptional dining experience for guests. The position involves a variety of responsibilities focused on maintaining cleanliness, ensuring tables are properly set, and providing support to the serving staff. You will greet every guest with a smile, set up your station at the beginning of your shift, and make sure that silverware and condiments are ready on tables. Other key duties include refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables to prepare them for the next guests, and running hot food to tables in a timely manner. You will also assist servers by providing additional guest support as needed, while adhering strictly to food safety and cleanliness standards. Clearing dishes, resetting tables, and cleaning seats and floors are essential tasks that help maintain a positive dining environment. Communication is crucial, so you will frequently coordinate with the team to indicate when tables are ready and assist in breaking down items in the dish area.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods, typically an 8 to 12 hour shift. You must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. A strong team orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively are key attributes for success in this fast-paced environment.
