Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established, family-owned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. It began with a vision to create a special connection between people and the coastal seafood experience. The brand not only offers delicious meals but also serves as a welcoming gathering place where guests feel like part of an extended family. At Red Lobster, employees and guests alike are valued, and the company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat and work – it is a vibrant part of the communities it serves.
Red Lobster offers a supportive workplace environment with competitive wages, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling options to accommodate employees' lifestyles. The company provides a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage starting at an affordable rate, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Additionally, Red Lobster supports employees' financial futures through a 401(k) retirement savings plan with matching contributions after one year of service. Employees can also enjoy anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25 percent discount when dining as guests. The company emphasizes career advancement and offers training opportunities to help employees grow within the organization.
The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is integral to maintaining a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests. This position involves greeting guests warmly, setting up stations with necessary supplies like silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, and assisting servers with guest service needs. Bussers and Runners help keep the restaurant clean and organized by clearing and resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, and managing communication regarding table readiness. They also play a key role in running hot food to guests promptly and safely. Following all food safety and cleanliness standards is essential for this role.
The physical demands of the Busser/Runner position require the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds, and remain on one's feet for an 8 to 12 hour shift. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills. Red Lobster is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to support successful job performance. In joining Red Lobster, employees become part of a family that values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, ensuring a welcoming workplace for everyone. If you are looking for a fulfilling role in a dynamic, growing company with strong community ties and excellent benefits, the Busser/Runner position at Red Lobster offers a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team and advance your career.
