Job Description
Marriott International is one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, known for its exceptional standards of service and a diverse portfolio of brands that offer memorable experiences to guests worldwide. Among its portfolio is Gaylord Hotels, a distinctive brand celebrated for its innovative approach to integrating guests, events, and authentic experiences all under one roof. Located in Aurora, Colorado, Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center is a high-volume, full-service hotel offering a unique blend of luxury accommodations, expansive meeting spaces, and culinary excellence. This establishment thrives on delivering unforgettable guest experiences powered by a dedicated team committed to excellence in hospitality.
The role available is for a Food and Beverage Service Expert at Gaylord Rockies, situated at 6700 N Gaylord Rockies Blvd, Aurora, Colorado. This is a full-time, non-management position with a pay rate of $22.75 per hour, including tip eligibility. The schedule requires availability during overnight hours and weekends, which are preferred to meet the operational needs of the busy hotel and restaurant environment. Working as a Food and Beverage Service Expert entails more than just serving food and drinks; it involves creating exceptional dining experiences and contributing to the overall ambiance that delights guests.
In this role, you will take initiative to deliver a variety of services that enhance the dining and event experience. Duties range from setting tables, assisting in kitchen operations, cleaning work areas, to replenishing supplies. A key part of your job is to ensure that every aspect of guest service is executed with professionalism and care, providing guests with a seamless and memorable visit. Because this is a fast-paced, high-volume environment, the ability to multitask and maintain high standards is essential.
Physical stamina and agility are fundamental, as the job involves standing, sitting, and walking through the day, sometimes on uneven or slippery surfaces. Employees must lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, reach high places, bend, crouch, and perform motions requiring knee bending, twisting, stretching, and stooping. Adherence to workplace safety guidelines and company policies is critical to ensure a secure and efficient working environment.
At Gaylord Hotels, the team members, known as STARs, are valued for their creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and heartfelt dedication to providing considered and genuine service. By joining the Gaylord team, you become part of a global network under Marriott International that promotes diversity, equality, and inclusion. The company fosters a welcoming and supportive workplace where employees can grow personally and professionally. Benefits and opportunities for career progression are emphasized to enrich employee wellbeing and job satisfaction.
This position is ideal for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, and while previous foodservice experience is not required, it is considered a plus. The hotel is proud of the inclusive environment it maintains and encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply. Working at Gaylord means joining a team that values excellence and offers more than just a job - it offers a path to becoming the best version of yourself while contributing to extraordinary guest experiences.
