The Cypress of Charlotte is currently looking for a hospitality-focused Busser/Food Runner to join their Community Culinary Services Department. This position is a vital component of the dining experience within the community, responsible for assisting wait staff in table service, as well as delivering to-go meals to residents throughout the campus. The Busser/Food Runner helps ensure the cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of the dining areas, contributing directly to the hospitality-driven culture at The Cypress. The role offers flexible scheduling from Monday to Saturday between 4:00 PM and 8:30 PM, with Sunday shifts from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling up to 29 hours weekly, including availability on holidays and weekends. Compensation begins at $15.00 per hour, with adjustments based on experience.

Job Requirements
- Driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
- Availability to work Mon-Sat 4:00 PM - 8:30 PM and Sundays 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Must be courteous, tactful, and gracious in interactions
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions in English
- Experience in hospitality or food service preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to lift and carry trays and supplies as necessary
Job Qualifications
- Driver’s license required with ability to drive company vehicle during deliveries
- Hospitality-driven mindset with excellent customer service skills
- Experience in food service preferred but willing to train
- Experience working with seniors preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively with members, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers
- Effective communication skills including reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions in English
Job Duties
- Assist wait staff with table service in community dining rooms and deliver to-go meals throughout campus
- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly
- Assist in stocking waiter/waitress stations with necessary supplies
- Ensure all tables and chairs are free of crumbs and debris
- Carry trays to and from the dining room as needed
- Keep coffee pots and water pitchers full and pour when necessary
- Deliver to-go meals to members’ homes across the campus
