Tommy Bahama is currently hiring for the role of a Server at one of its restaurant locations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting and who want to embody and promote the brand's island lifestyle. The server will be an ambassador of the Tommy Bahama brand, engaging with guests to create memorable dining experiences characterized by warm hospitality and attention to detail. This role demands a team-oriented attitude, with responsibilities that include greeting guests with a friendly smile, working in harmony with other team members, assisting servers with food delivery, maintaining table cleanliness and order, and ensuring a sanitary dining environment.

The position requires a minimum of one year of experience in serving or a related role within a full-service restaurant, as well as possession of a current food handler's card and alcohol service certification according to federal, state, or local law. Serving as a server at Tommy Bahama involves more than just taking orders and delivering food; it is about creating a relaxed destination where guests feel pampered, cared for, and drawn into the island experience. The server plays a crucial role in upholding brand standards through impeccable service, a keen understanding of seasonal scratch cuisine, and cocktail offerings.

In terms of physical demands, the job requires lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds frequently, routine bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for the duration of shifts. Familiarity with equipment such as hand carts, blenders, knives, wine keys, and other tools is necessary for effective job performance. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs, providing some flexibility but also requiring adaptability. Compensation for this role is competitive and includes a wage range between $15.00 or minimum wage up to $17.00 per hour plus tips, with exact pay contingent upon experience, knowledge, skillset, and location.
