The William Penn Inn combines tradition and excellent service to create an inviting environment where guests can enjoy quality meals and attentive care. As a staple in the community, it offers not only an exquisite menu but also an ambiance that makes every dining occasion special. Their commitment to superior service and guest satisfaction sets them apart in the hospitality industry.
The William Penn Inn is currently looking for motivated and experienced individuals to join their team as Bussers and Expos. This role is vital in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is perfect for those passionate about hospitality and providing outstanding customer service. The position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $5.00 to $7.00 per hour plus tips with flexible part-time scheduling, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking entry-level work or those eager to grow their careers in the restaurant and hospitality field. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have Sunday morning availability to accommodate the restaurant’s operating hours.
As a Busser, your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized dining area by clearing tables swiftly and resetting them for the next guests, replenishing water glasses and bread servings, supporting servers as needed, and assisting with the setup and closing of the restaurant each day. Bussers play a crucial role in ensuring guests enjoy a seamless dining experience by keeping the front-of-house operations running smoothly.
The Expo role involves acting as a communication bridge between the kitchen and the service staff. Expos inspect plates for presentation, temperature, and completeness while coordinating the timing of food delivery to maintain excellent service flow. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the expo area and assisting with kitchen stock supplies are key aspects of this position.
Both roles demand strong teamwork, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure, all while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude. The William Penn Inn fosters a supportive team environment where employees are valued and encouraged to thrive. This opportunity provides not only a pathway for personal and professional development but also a chance to be part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of hospitality. If you are looking for a welcoming workplace with competitive pay, employee meal benefits, and a referral bonus program, the William Penn Inn is an ideal place to grow your career in the hospitality industry.
