This position offers a unique opportunity to join a reputable restaurant group as a vital member of the service team. The role primarily involves supporting the smooth operation of the dining area by attending to guests' needs, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring tables are properly set and cleared between courses. Key responsibilities include removing used tableware, resetting tables, cleaning and polishing furniture, counters, and floors, and maintaining adequate supplies such as linens, silverware, and glassware. Additionally, the role requires coordinated teamwork with servers, hosts, and other staff to optimize table utilization and elevate the overall guest experience. This job demands physical stamina as candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving lifting, reaching, bending, and stooping.

Job Duties

  • remove used tableware between courses
  • clear and reset tables after guests leave
  • set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies
  • wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths or replace dirty tablecloths
  • promptly clean table tops, chairs, booths, and floors between guests
  • scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes to kitchens for cleaning
  • unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, and glassware in designated areas
  • carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware to serving counters
  • clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove trash
  • maintain adequate supplies such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays
  • clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment
  • mop or vacuum floors
  • fill beverage or ice dispensers
  • communicate with servers and hosts to expedite seating and service
  • attend scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions
  • coordinate and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs
  • fill-in for fellow employees as needed
  • serve bread, water, and butter upon guest arrival and provide refills
  • serve food to guests when servers need assistance
  • greet guests promptly and serve ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter
  • wash glasses or other serving equipment at bars
  • stock refrigerating units with wines or bottled beer
  • carry linens to or from laundry areas
