Job Description

Starwood Hotels is a globally recognized luxury hotel brand management company and an affiliate of the prestigious Starwood Capital Group, founded in 2006 by Barry Sternlicht. The company is deeply committed to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences while prioritizing sustainability and social responsibility. Starwood Hotels is the parent company of 1 Hotels, a mission-driven hotel brand that emphasizes environmental stewardship and community connection. The company prides itself on fostering a caring and thoughtful culture where team members are inspired to contribute positively not only to the guest experience but also to the planet and society. Starwood’s core values focus on respect for nature, collaboration, stellar service, and a workforce that is diverse, inclusive, and empowered. It stands as an equal opportunity employer, committed to non-discrimination and providing accommodations for those who need them.

The Busser role at WATR, one of Starwood’s distinguished restaurant venues, is a vital position centered around supporting the front-of-house team to create seamless and memorable dining experiences. This role requires an individual who works effectively as part of the restaurant service team, helping servers by maintaining cleanliness, preparing tables, and ensuring that the dining environment is pristine and welcoming. Serving as a Busser means being attentive and proactive in managing table settings for different meal periods—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—and ensuring that all dining essentials such as silverware, glassware, and linens are perfectly arranged and constantly replenished.

This position demands excellent multitasking skills, physical stamina, and a strong team-oriented attitude. The Busser is responsible for clearing tables promptly between courses, polishing and storing silverware according to standards, and assisting in stocking the bar and other stations before and during service. The role also involves adhering strictly to safety, sanitation, and health guidelines in accordance with federal and state regulations. Employees are expected to contribute to daily shift meetings and uphold the company’s uniform and grooming standards. This job is ideal for those who are organized, reliable, willing to learn, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a commitment to high-quality customer service.

Working at Starwood Hotels is about more than just fulfilling job duties; it is about joining a mission-driven company dedicated to positive change. Employees at 1 Hotels and Starwood are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work and participate in an organizational culture that values personal growth, community impact, and sustainability. With varying schedules, including holidays, this role requires flexibility and dedication to meet the evolving needs of the hospitality business. By joining Starwood Hotels as a Busser, candidates become part of a global brand that is renowned for its luxury standards and pioneering approach to responsible hospitality, offering a meaningful career path within a nurturing and innovative environment.
