Job Description

Starwood Hotels is a distinguished luxury hotel brand management company that forms part of the global private investment firm, Starwood Capital Group. Established in 2006 by Barry Sternlicht, the company has committed itself to creating exceptional hospitality experiences while supporting sustainable and inclusive workforce practices. Starwood Hotels operates various brands, including the innovative Treehouse Hotels, known for their unique blend of adventurous spirit and cozy, eco-conscious environments. The company's mission centers around caring for the planet and fostering meaningful connections between guests, team members, and the communities they serve. Starwood Hotels embraces diversity and is dedicated to cultivating an empowered, inclusive culture, providing equitable opportunities for all employees regardless of protected basis, ensuring a workplace that values individuality and growth. They offer a competitive wage of $22.00 with additional comprehensive benefits, exemplifying their commitment to the welfare of their team members.

Treehouse Hotels, a brand managed under Starwood Hotels, offers a playful, modern hospitality experience inspired by the nostalgic and imaginative childhood adventure of building treehouses. Every aspect of Treehouse Hotels reflects this ethos, featuring repurposed objects, handmade details, and locally sourced culinary delights that create an inviting and distinctive atmosphere. Since the opening of the first Treehouse Hotel in London in 2019, the brand has expanded with properties like Treehouse Sunnyvale, where details balance the carefree optimism of childhood with contemporary craftsmanship and service standards. Treehouse Hotels prioritize guest experiences rooted in playfulness, freedom, and connection to nature, along with thoughtful programming and amenities that deliver memorable moments for travelers.

Within the Food and Beverage team at Treehouse Sunnyvale, the role of a Busser is both fundamental and rewarding. As a Busser, you will play a vital part in supporting the front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations and an exquisite dining experience for every guest. This position demands a hardworking, attentive individual with basic knowledge of Food and Beverage operations, a strong team spirit, and meticulous attention to detail. Flexibility is crucial as the position involves meeting the dynamic demands of a 24-hour service environment.

Joining the Treehouse team means becoming part of a caring culture that values thoughtful service and genuine hospitality. Team members enjoy numerous perks, such as a nature-inspired work environment designed to foster well-being and creativity, comprehensive health and wellness programs including competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Employees receive paid personal days and retirement planning assistance, as well as opportunities for career advancement both domestically and globally. Moreover, Starwood Hotels provides exclusive access to SH University, an online educational platform offering professional development courses and certifications aimed at helping team members grow and flourish. The team member recognition program further highlights the company’s dedication to rewarding contributions and fostering a positive work environment.

Starwood Hotels takes pride in being a mission-driven company, with values that influence every aspect of operations—from inspiring guests to nurturing employees and protecting the environment. As part of this team, a Busser at Treehouse Hotels will be positioned to develop skills in hospitality service, contribute meaningfully to guest satisfaction, and grow within an inclusive company culture focused on sustainability and community engagement.
