The Busser works with a strong sense of urgency to turn tables quickly without sacrificing quality, helping the team manage high volumes of guests efficiently. The role involves a variety of tasks, including assisting guests, managing dirty dishes, restocking supplies, and supporting other team members in service-related duties.
In this role, the Busser is expected to demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, working independently while also collaborating effectively with the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to maintain business standards under pressure. They are also entrusted with ensuring a clean and safe dining environment by performing sanitation duties like sweeping, mopping, and cleaning condiment containers. Beyond the core duties, the Busser supports the service team by assisting with food running, serving drinks, seating guests, and communicating guest needs to management.
This position requires a minimum age of 18 years and at least one year of busser experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Candidates must either possess or be able to obtain ServSafe or Food Handler’s certification, highlighting the importance of food safety and hygiene standards. Preference is given to candidates with two or more years of busser experience in high-volume or fine dining environments, acknowledging the need for advanced skills in handling demanding service conditions.

Job Duties
- Ensure exceptional guest service and teamwork
- Fill and empty bus carts
- properly stack dirty dishes and assist guests with a positive attitude
- Clear and carry dirty dishes to the dish stations
- Sanitize tables and chairs
- remove debris from the floor
- sweep and mop as necessary
- Replace/refill condiments and clean dirty condiment-dispensing containers
- Roll and replenish silverware stock
- Complete all side work tasks
- Clean and reset tables after guests leave
- Inform guests of any food and beverage specials
- Assist with food running
- serving drinks
- and seating guests
- Communicate with management professionally and involve them immediately in guest recovery issues
- Other duties as assigned
