Job Description
Cicis is a well-established pizza restaurant chain that has been serving high-quality pizza and providing exceptional customer service since its inception in 1985. Founded by Joe Croce and Mike Cole in Plano, Texas, Cicis started as a small take-out pizzeria and swiftly evolved into a beloved brand known for its unlimited pizza buffet concept. Today, Cicis proudly operates over 300 locations nationwide, maintaining its reputation as a family-friendly, customer-focused dining experience. Despite its substantial growth, Cicis remains privately and locally owned, emphasizing strong community values and employee development.
At Cicis, the mission is clear: to open its doors every day with the purpose of making each guest's day memorable by delivering remarkable service and high-quality pizza. Many employees begin their journey expecting just a job but soon discover rewarding career pathways within the company, facilitated by comprehensive training programs designed to create opportunities for career advancement and management roles.
The Restaurant Team Member role at Cicis is integral to the smooth operation of each location and the delivery of the Cicis promise to guests. This position primarily focuses on direct interaction with guests, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish. Responsibilities include following proper table bussing procedures, adhering to strict cleaning protocols, and supporting the restaurant team in maintaining a friendly and energetic atmosphere. Team members are expected to comply with uniform and appearance standards as outlined in the Cicis Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook, fostering a professional and welcoming environment.
The role is ideal for individuals with a passion for customer service, whether they come from a background in the restaurant industry or are entering the workforce for the first time. Cicis embraces diversity in experience, welcoming applicants who have worked as dishwashers, cashiers, servers, hosts, cooks, prep staff, and both front-of-house and back-of-house roles. The company values enthusiasm, positivity, and teamwork, which are essential for cultivating the warm and upbeat atmosphere Cicis guests expect.
The Restaurant Team Member will be responsible for performing assigned duties such as preparing food ingredients, crafting quality pizza products, taking guest orders, and ensuring quick and friendly service. Being part of a team requires reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to assist colleagues across various tasks, including completing all closing duties and maintaining cleanliness standards at the end of each shift. Maintaining restaurant safety and cleanliness is paramount, with team members safeguarding the restaurant’s assets and complying with safety and security procedures.
This role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle various tasks, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, and walking throughout shifts. Employees should possess a strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build friendly relationships with guests. Cicis also expects professionalism and the capacity to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week.
In addition to essential job functions, team members must have the ability to manage job stress effectively and interact well with guests and coworkers in a dynamic work environment that includes flashing lights, mechanical sounds, and high energy levels. Food Handler Certification is preferred, though previous experience in the food service industry is not mandatory, enabling a wide range of candidates to pursue this opportunity.
Joining Cicis means becoming part of a company that values growth, community, and a genuine passion for pizza and customer service. If you are eager to contribute to a team committed to delivering great service and great food and looking for a role that can evolve into a fulfilling career, Cicis welcomes your application.
