Job Description
Cicis is a privately and locally owned pizza restaurant chain with a strong presence of 300 locations nationwide. Founded in 1985 by Joe Croce in Plano, Texas, Cicis began as a single, strictly take-out pizzeria that quickly gained popularity among the local community. The founders expanded the concept by introducing an unlimited pizza buffet, dramatically increasing the restaurant's appeal and success. Today, Cicis is known for its high-quality pizza made from scratch dough prepared fresh daily in every restaurant and its commitment to delivering remarkable service with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. With decades of experience in the quick-service pizza industry, Cicis has established itself as a leader in casual dining, offering a variety of pizza options and a team-oriented workplace that nurtures growth and development.
The Restaurant Team Member role at Cicis is an entry-level position that offers individuals the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the restaurant industry alongside a supportive team. Employees in this role will have the chance to interact directly with guests, carry out essential cleaning and maintenance tasks, and assist in food preparation. Cicis embraces diversity in hiring, welcoming applicants both with and without prior restaurant experience. Training is provided to help team members not only succeed in their immediate roles but also to create a clear career path toward management positions. This makes the Restaurant Team Member role an excellent starting point for those seeking long-term careers in hospitality.
Responsibilities in this role include performing assigned duties across various stations, such as preparing ingredients, making high-quality pizza and other menu items, taking guest orders, and providing friendly and efficient customer service. Team members are expected to support each other, maintain the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant, and adhere to company standards for appearance, conduct, and operational procedures. The restaurant environment can be busy and fast-paced, requiring employees to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining professionalism throughout their shifts. Cicis values team players who contribute positively to the energy and fun atmosphere that the brand is known for.
This position requires a minimum age of 18 due to the operation of some equipment, the physical ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds with a weight belt, and the capacity to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting during scheduled shifts. The hours are flexible, with a minimum of 25 hours per week often including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and customer orientation are essential for success in this role. Additionally, employees should be able to handle the sensory and stress factors common in a restaurant environment, such as flashing lights, mechanical noise, and close teamwork.
Joining Cicis as a Restaurant Team Member means becoming part of a nationwide family focused on great food and exceptional service, with access to ongoing training and career advancement. If you are enthusiastic, enjoy working with people, and want to be part of a company that values growth and community, Cicis provides a dynamic and rewarding environment to build your career.
