Job Description

The Turning Point is an award-winning restaurant specializing in daytime-only service for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Established with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences, The Turning Point has expanded to over 30 corporate locations across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and Florida, with plans to continue growing in the near future. In addition to its corporate locations, the company has franchised outlets that offer further opportunities for training and career advancement. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and dedication to customer satisfaction, The Turning Point offers a unique employment environment by operating exclusively during daytime hours, ensuring a healthy work-life balance for its team members. This aspect is especially attractive to candidates seeking to avoid night shifts, as the restaurants close daily at 3 PM, allowing employees to enjoy evenings free from work commitments.

This position is ideal for enthusiastic individuals looking to become part of a dynamic and growing company. Working at The Turning Point means joining a team that values and respects every employee, offering substantial opportunities for advancement as evidenced by the fact that over 65 percent of managers have been promoted internally. The company prioritizes employee well-being and promotes flexibility with shift options and the ability to transfer between locations across several states if relocation becomes necessary. This role provides an engaging work environment with the added benefits of employee discounts, free uniforms, and paid time off. Moreover, employees receive all tips daily in cash, which supplements their income. Additional perks include discounted meals not only for the employee but also for their family, fostering a supportive community atmosphere within the workforce.

The role revolves around supporting the front-of-house operations to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the dining areas. Key responsibilities include wiping tables and seats, setting tables, replenishing condiments and supplies, scraping and stacking dirty dishes, and delivering dishes and tableware to the kitchen for cleaning. Additionally, this position supports servers by running food to tables and responding promptly to guest requests during shifts, ensuring a seamless dining experience for patrons. Individuals in this role will engage directly with customers, requiring a proactive approach to service and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The Turning Point values team members who bring energy, enthusiasm, and a dedication to customer service excellence. Prior experience in the restaurant industry is recommended but not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for those new to the field as well as seasoned professionals. Physical stamina is essential, as the job requires standing for extended periods and the ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 20 pounds. Candidates who thrive in busy, customer-oriented settings and enjoy working collaboratively to achieve operational goals will find this position rewarding and fulfilling. Overall, joining The Turning Point offers not only a job but a pathway to develop skills, grow within the company, and be part of a thriving hospitality community dedicated to quality and service excellence.
