Job Description

Schulte Hospitality Group (SHG) is a leading third-party management company with a rich history rooted in the hospitality industry. With deep, multi-generational experience, SHG manages over 200 locations spanning 38 states and three countries. Their diverse portfolio includes some of the most reputable names in the hospitality world such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt. Beyond these globally recognized brands, SHG also operates numerous unique, independent, boutique, and lifestyle properties and restaurants. This widespread presence and variety make SHG a dynamic and exciting place to work for hospitality professionals eager to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

SHG's success stems not just from their scale and reputable partnerships, but from their unique service culture that emphasizes hospitality, respect, authenticity, and prioritizing stakeholders' needs above all else. The company fosters an environment where continuous positive impact, both internally and externally, is a fundamental goal. At its core, SHG is committed to creating an inclusive, employee-focused workplace with opportunities for professional development and growth. Their belief is that their greatest and most valuable asset is their people, and they demonstrate this through various employee benefits and opportunities to advance.

The role of Bus Person at Schulte Hospitality Group is integral in supporting the overall guest experience within their hospitality venues. This service-oriented position requires a dynamic individual who values teamwork and a commitment to service excellence. The Bus Person is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, assisting wait staff, and ensuring that tables are properly set with silverware and glassware. Additionally, the role involves carrying dirty dishes from the dining room to the kitchen, wiping down tabletops and chairs, taking out garbage, changing beverage syrups, running food from the kitchen to the dining area when necessary, and completing side work duties as assigned.

This position offers an opportunity to be part of a supportive team where flexibility and work-life balance are valued. SHG provides a rewarding, fun, and flexible work environment with exciting perks designed to encourage career progression within the company. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes Daily Pay, allowing associates to get paid on the same day they work, free telemedicine and virtual mental health care access starting from day one, multiple health and life insurance options, a 401k plan with company match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, and participation in an employee assistance program. Additional benefits include access to the Schulte Savings Marketplace, offering discounts on event tickets, electronics, gym memberships, and more.

Joining SHG as a Bus Person means stepping into a vibrant workplace that not only pushes for excellent guest service but also values employee development and well-being. The role requires effective verbal communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a dedication to exceeding guest expectations. While prior experience in a hotel or restaurant service role is preferred, SHG welcomes individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the hospitality industry. As part of the hiring process, candidates may undergo a phone interview, manager interviews, drug screening, background check, and reference checks to ensure a great fit for the role and the company culture. Schulte Hospitality Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to fostering diversity and inclusion across all levels of its workforce.
