The role of Pool Attendant at Sycuan is a dynamic and vital position that ensures the pool environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming. This hourly position is geared toward providing outstanding guest service and maintaining the pool area to strict cleanliness and sanitary standards. The Pool Attendant supports servers and guests by keeping workstations well-stocked and assisting with food and beverage delivery to various poolside locations, such as cabanas, daybeds, lounge chairs, and pool bars.

This role demands an individual who is attentive, proactive, and able to work collaboratively within a team environment while also engaging courteously with guests. The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining an orderly pool environment, which contributes significantly to the overall guest experience at Sycuan. As an essential part of the hospitality team, the successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence, physical stamina to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes smoky environment.

Candidates with prior experience in bussing, pool attendance, or hospitality housekeeping will find this role aligns well with their skills and background. In addition, possessing a County of San Diego Food Handler Card is mandatory to comply with local health and safety regulations. Multilingual abilities are a desirable asset that can enhance communication with the diverse spectrum of guests frequenting Sycuan's resort and casino facilities.

Job Duties

  • Ensures safe and sanitary dining areas
  • Provides excellent guest service
  • Assists food delivery service from kitchen to guests (i.e. cabana, daybed, lounge chair, bar)
