Columbia Hospitality is a people-first organization that emphasizes creating extraordinary guest experiences and fostering a supportive, tight-knit team environment. Known widely for combining top-tier service standards with genuine hospitality, Woven Seafood & Chophouse aims to be an ideal workplace where employees can grow professionally while contributing to memorable guest engagements.
The role of a Busser at Woven Seafood & Chophouse is an essential part-time position vital to the smooth operation of the restaurant. Bussers play a crucial role in supporting the servers and management team by helping maintain a clean and organized dining room, driving quick table turns, and ensuring that guests enjoy a seamless and satisfying dining experience. This fast-paced role requires someone who exudes hospitality, shows attention to detail, and thrives in a dynamic service environment. The busser acts as a behind-the-scenes force, assisting with tasks such as promptly breaking down and resetting tables, restocking supplies, and cleaning service areas. Beyond physical tasks, busser duties include greeting guests warmly and contributing to a polished, welcoming atmosphere.
This position is not just about maintaining cleanliness and efficiency; it's also about engaging with guests by acting as a menu tour guide when appropriate and gaining a solid understanding of the various food items offered. The busser role is foundational for those eager to grow within the hospitality industry, providing valuable hands-on experience in service standards, guest engagement, and teamwork. The restaurant offers a supportive workplace culture driven by core values and emphasizes employee growth through online learning platforms and task force participation opportunities, making it a strong launching pad for a career in hospitality.
Compensation for the busser includes an hourly pay rate of $17.13, eligibility for tip pooling, and the unique benefit of getting paid daily, allowing employees to treat any day as payday. The position also offers benefits including paid time off, holiday pay, medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Additionally, employees have access to Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) plans with employer contributions. The company’s culture fosters a values-based environment known as #OMGLIFE, support for diversity through Culture Add initiatives, referral bonuses, and opportunities for involvement in philanthropic and diversity-focused committees. Employees also enjoy discounted lodging, dining, spa services, golf, retail, and travel, as well as an employee assistance program and meaningful volunteer opportunities under the "Columbia Cares" initiative.
Woven Seafood & Chophouse encourages diversity and inclusion and is committed to ensuring that candidates with varying backgrounds and experiences feel welcomed to apply. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy fast-paced, team-oriented work environments and are motivated to contribute their skills towards an exceptional guest experience. Joining the team means being part of a passionate group dedicated to hospitality excellence, learning, and career growth.
