Job Description

The hiring establishment is a reputable community-focused dining service provider that prioritizes delivering exceptional dining experiences to its residents. Known for its commitment to quality and hospitality, the organization operates within a dynamic environment where attention to detail, customer service, and efficiency are paramount. This community dining program emphasizes creating a welcoming atmosphere where residents feel valued and comfortable, and the role of dining staff is crucial in maintaining this environment. The establishment prides itself on fostering a supportive work culture that encourages teamwork, flexibility, and continuous improvement.

The position available is for a Dining Room Attendant/Busser, a vital role within the food and beverage department responsible for both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. This role requires an individual who is adaptable and willing to take on various tasks to support the smooth running of the dining room. Key responsibilities include preparing the dining area by setting tables and stocking supplies, arranging the furniture to accommodate different group sizes, and ensuring tables are cleared and reset promptly between services. The attendant must maintain cleanliness and organization both in the dining area and within the kitchen environment, effectively communicating with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure timely food service and resident satisfaction.

This position demands a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced setting, where maintaining high standards of service and attention to detail is critical. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the physical stamina to stand and move quickly for extended periods. The role is part-time with a work schedule ranging from 20 to 29 hours weekly, offering an hourly wage of $15.00 paid bi-weekly. Employees in this position are eligible for supplemental benefits including dental and vision coverage, reflecting the employer's commitment to supporting their workforce beyond just compensation.

In addition to the regular duties, the Dining Room Attendant/Busser acts as a food runner when needed, ensuring that food orders are delivered accurately and promptly to residents. This requires coordination with wait staff and bartenders to meet residents’ needs efficiently. The role also involves maintaining a sanitary workspace and adhering to safety protocols, including correct lifting techniques for weights up to 30 pounds. The establishment values employees who embrace a team-oriented mindset but are also capable of working independently, showing initiative and problem-solving skills in their daily tasks.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a collaborative environment, and seeks to contribute positively to the dining experience of community residents. The employer acknowledges that this job description is not exhaustive and reserves the right to modify schedules, duties, and responsibilities based on operational needs. Furthermore, an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) may be used to objectively assess candidate qualifications during the hiring process, ensuring a fair and unbiased recruitment experience.
