Job Description
Nordstrom, Inc. is a leading fashion retailer renowned for its exceptional customer service and high-quality merchandise. With a legacy that spans nearly a century, Nordstrom has established itself as a premier destination offering clothing, shoes, accessories, and beauty products from some of the world’s most sought-after brands. The company operates across the United States with multiple department stores and an expanding online presence that aligns with modern retail trends. Nordstrom is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for both customers and employees, valuing innovation, excellence, and integrity in all its endeavors.
As a busser at Nordstrom, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an outstanding dining experience within the company’s in-store restaurants or cafe areas. This role is crafted for individuals who are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about exceptional customer service. The busser’s primary responsibility is to maintain a clean and organized dining space by promptly clearing tables, supporting kitchen operations, and assisting other restaurant areas as needed. This position is dynamic and requires a fast-paced work approach, flexibility in scheduling, and an ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both customers and coworkers. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.20, with wages subject to location and experience. Nordstrom also values its employees’ well-being by providing comprehensive benefits, performance-based incentives, and opportunities for growth within the company.
The busser position is ideal for those with prior experience in hospitality or food service, although it also serves as a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to develop valuable skills in customer service and teamwork. Working at Nordstrom offers the chance to become part of an established company that prioritizes employee support and professional development. The position demands responsibilities such as carrying large loads of dishes, supporting food prep and equipment maintenance as necessary, and thriving in varied and adaptable schedules based on business needs. Nordstrom ensures a supportive work environment where employees are considered the company’s most valuable asset and benefits reflect that commitment extensively.
Overall, this role demands dedication, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards maintaining high standards of dining area cleanliness and customer satisfaction. The busser helps foster an inviting atmosphere, making every customer visit pleasant and seamless, contributing directly to Nordstrom’s reputation for excellence in retail hospitality.
