Job Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per federal, state, and Virginia Lottery
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass drug screening
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts
  • Ability to stand 50% of shift, walk 45% of shift, and sit 5% of shift
  • Ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments
  • Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with arms and hands
  • Must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred
  • Ability to read and write English required
  • One-year guest service experience in family or formal dining preferred
  • Casino Food and Beverage experience preferred
  • Valid Food Handlers Card required
  • Valid Liquor License required
  • Valid Gaming Badge required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, friendly, and outgoing attitude
  • Ability to handle stressful situations effectively

Job Duties

  • Create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Bristol for gaming entertainment
  • Greet each guest and provide outstanding customer service
  • Supply all food items needed to maintain efficient operations
  • Prepare and upkeep food lines and self-service stations
  • Transport food items from kitchen to respective areas
  • Inform chefs of needed prepared food items
  • Assist in kitchen with product preparation and dishwashing
  • Monitor food temperatures in holding units
  • Maintain appearance of food according to sanitation codes
  • Maintain all beverage areas with necessary beverages
  • Complete all set-up duties on time
  • Ensure cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas and kitchen
  • Assist main kitchen with preparation of various dishes
  • Rotate and maintain all food inventory
  • Use proper transfer slips for food items
  • Load and organize plates and bowls
  • Put away and rotate dry goods and storeroom orders
  • Interact positively with guests to enhance relations
  • Bus tables after guest meals and maintain 15-20 tables
  • Transport dish cart to and from service stations
  • Maintain cleanliness in server stations and dining room
  • Adhere to cash handling policies
  • Remove dirty dishes and glassware promptly
  • Refill drinks as needed
  • Complete opening and closing duties
  • Check and clean equipment regularly, communicate repairs
  • Collaborate considerately with team members
  • Advise supervisor when supplies are needed
  • Inform supervisor of guest needs requiring accommodations
  • Check with supervisor before ending shift
  • Perform other duties as directed by management
