Job Description
Cunningham Restaurant Group (CRG), founded by Mike Cunningham in 1997, has developed into a dynamic and respected restaurant organization renowned for delivering unique and memorable dining experiences. Originating from Brownsburg, Indiana, CRG has expanded steadily to encompass a diverse collection of forty restaurants featuring eighteen distinct concepts across multiple states. This growth is a testament to the company’s dedication to innovation, quality, and a strong commitment to community involvement and impact. The group prides itself on nurturing sustainable, consistent expansion by maintaining high standards in food, service, and hospitality.
CRG operates as a multi-concept restaurant group, incorporating various styles and cuisines to attract a broad and varied clientele. The company’s vision emphasizes fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment where employees at all levels can thrive and advance their careers. As part of this vision, CRG is dedicated to creating an atmosphere where team members feel valued and motivated to contribute their best to an exceptional dining experience.
The Busser role at CRG is a crucial part of maintaining an efficient and inviting restaurant environment. Bussers work behind the scenes to ensure dining areas are spotless and well-prepared for guests, enabling servers and kitchen staff to focus on delivering excellent service and high-quality meals. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment and take pride in contributing to the smooth operation of a busy restaurant. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those new to the industry or looking to expand their skills.
As a Busser, the individual will be responsible for promptly clearing and resetting tables, sanitizing dining areas, and assisting with restocking and organizational tasks at busser and server stations. The role involves supporting servers by helping refill drinks and deliver food orders, as well as aiding kitchen staff in transporting dishes to the dining area. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as bussers coordinate with servers and kitchen personnel to maintain workflow and guest satisfaction.
Physical stamina and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-moving environment are important attributes for success in this role. Bussers often stand, walk, and lift trays or bus tubs weighing up to 30 pounds for extended periods. Flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is also required to accommodate the needs of the restaurant’s operating schedule.
CRG offers competitive compensation that includes tips, creating an opportunity for motivated team members to earn additional income based on their performance. The establishment also supports career growth and advancement within its expanding network of restaurants. For those passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a high-energy and welcoming dining experience, the Busser position at Cunningham Restaurant Group provides an excellent platform to join a thriving company and build a rewarding career in the restaurant industry.
