The role of Food Runner at Hard Rock Cafe is pivotal to the efficient operation of the restaurant during peak times. Food Runners play a crucial role in ensuring that guests receive their orders promptly and with a high level of professionalism. This position supports the servers by responding quickly to guest requests, delivering food and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, and assisting with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and server alley. Food Runners are expected to work closely with both kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to deliver exceptional service. The role demands a friendly, positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Physical stamina and manual dexterity are important as the job requires lifting and moving items, standing and walking for extended periods, and operating in a fast-paced environment. This position is part-time and offers an hourly pay rate ranging from $2 to $25, varying by experience and location. Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere
  • demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • ability to move throughout the café during visits including standing, walking, kneeling and bending for extended periods
  • ability to sit for extended periods
  • ability to make repetitive movements of the arms, hands, and wrists

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a food service or hospitality environment is desirable

  • friendliness and a positive attitude toward guests and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Deliver food to guests quickly and efficiently
  • deliver condiments and drinks as needed including alcoholic beverages
  • refill beverages as needed and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and polite manner
  • promptly and professionally handle guest issues and communicate problems and concerns to management
  • maintain a clean and organized server alley and expo area
  • stock ice and glassware on the server line
  • pre-buss tables
  • clean and reset dirty tables
  • sweep the floor
  • assist and communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house staff
