The position of Busser is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant floor. The primary responsibility of the Busser is to promptly clear used dishes and tableware while preparing tables professionally and welcoming new guests with readiness and attention to detail. This role significantly contributes to expediting service by supporting servers and bartenders—helping with food running, making salads, fetching drinks, and other tasks that meet customer needs efficiently and courteously. The Busser operates not only as an essential support team member but also as a friendly face to guests, ensuring their experience is consistently positive. Alongside maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the dining area and other public spaces (including floors, bathrooms, lobby, and exterior visible areas), the Busser also answers phone calls, helps ensure food orders are accurate, and assists in various operational duties such as opening and closing tasks.
