Job Description

First Watch is a thriving restaurant franchise specializing in breakfast, brunch, and lunch service. Celebrated for its unique culinary creations and welcoming atmosphere, First Watch operates during daytime hours only, with restaurants open daily from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The company stands out not only for its delicious menu but also for its commitment to its employees, offering a positive work environment rooted in respect and appreciation. As a franchisee of First Watch, the establishment upholds the brand's values and culture, focusing on delivering an exceptional dining experience while fostering employee growth and satisfaction.

The Busser role at First Watch is a vital position that contributes significantly to the smooth operation of the dining room and the overall customer experience. This position is specifically designed for those who prefer daytime work hours, as it includes no night shifts whatsoever. As a Busser, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant environment by efficiently clearing and resetting tables after guests depart. Your efforts help maintain a steady flow during peak dining hours, enabling servers to focus on delivering timely and attentive service. Additional duties include assisting the team with side work and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the dining area.

Working at First Watch means being part of a dedicated team in a fast-paced yet friendly atmosphere. The restaurant values its employees immensely, likening their importance even to bacon – a humorous and heartfelt acknowledgment of the company’s commitment to its people. Starting pay is set at $7.25 per hour plus tips, offering a competitive wage for entry-level positions. Employees who reach one year of service and work an average of over 30 hours per week become eligible for an extensive benefits package. This package includes paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, and a 401K plan — all designed to support both your health and financial security.

First Watch also offers valuable perks that enrich the employee experience. These include meal discounts to enjoy the restaurant's offerings, a "You First" culture that prioritizes employee well-being, numerous growth opportunities through training and development programs, and access to a corporate perks program called Perkspot. Employees can also take advantage of ZayZoon, an on-demand pay advance service, receive company-paid Food Handler certification, benefit from a shoes-for-crews footwear program, and enjoy flexible scheduling. These benefits and perks create an encouraging and supportive workplace for team members to thrive.

Joining First Watch as a Busser opens the door to a career in a full-service casual dining environment with room for advancement. Whether you are seeking an entry point into the hospitality industry or a stable position with daytime hours and strong employee benefits, this role offers the perfect blend of opportunity and work-life balance. If you are enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team, First Watch welcomes you to apply and become part of their award-winning restaurant family.
